Handmade Chopping Boards are BACK at North East Gifts!

We first trialled our wooden engraved kitchen boards late last year using plain chopping boards we bought-in and had engraved locally. They were so well received that we set out to find a local wood maker to craft them for us. We found him in the shape of Nick James, who runs James Design and Mushroom Works in Newcastle. Nick now hand-crafts and engraves all of our boards in his studio.

The two boards – “Mam makes everything with love” and “You shall have a fishy on a little dishy” feature North East inspired designs by Jo Burrows, AKA Byker Lass, who designs many of the Geordie, Mackem and Northumbrian cards and gifts we sell.
