Namedropper! by Chris Phipps

Published 2018, Hardback Edition

Originally from the Midlands Chris Phipps (interviewer, producer and historian) put the North East on the music and cultural scene when he was called to the North East to help create “The Tube” for Channel Four.

This ran from 1982 to 1987 and featured live performances, interviews, fashion items and comedy appearances presented by Jools Holland and Paula Yates.

Chris was a driving force behind the Whitley Bay Film Festival which was set up in 2010.
