Description

From Local Artist Neill C. Woods this is one of a range of postcards reminiscent of the postcards by Donald McGill whose seaside scenes and scantily clad ladies were all the rage from the 1930’s to the 1980’s.

The castle in the skyline is Warkworth Castle and was founded in the 12th century.

Warkworth Castle is famous for being the home of Northumberland’s most powerful dynasty the Percy family.

For the motor enthusiasts the vehicle is a Volkswagen Type 2 Microbus.
