Description

From Local Artist Neill C. Woods this is one of a range of postcards reminiscent of the postcards by Donald McGill whose seaside scenes and scantily clad ladies were all the rage from the 1930’s to the 1980’s.

This is in the car park at Dukes Walk at the Northern Promenade at Whitley Bay between Whitley Bay town and St Mary’s Island. In the background is Links Art Gallery which, as well as having a café, displays art from local artists  which it sells along with other items.

For the motor car enthusiasts the vehicle is an Austin 7 Mini.
