The observant amongst you may have noticed we recently switched to https (SSL). When you submit information to a website, unless it’s encrypted, there’s potential for this data to be intercepted between the client (you) and the server (the website). Usually on websites this data is anonymous, however as we handle your order and have access to your contact details and address it’s important for us to keep that data safe.
Our payment gateway, PayPal, also uses https which is essential as it handles your payment information.
What other efforts do we go to keep your website secure?
- We use strong passwords and password managers for our admin accounts
- We use a hosting service that is proactive with security updates.
- We monitor the software used to make the site every day to make sure it’s always up to date.
We’re always looking for new ways to increase this security and the recent move to https is a step in the right direction.
